Meet courtlyn
Courtlyn Wesolowski is the passionate President of Start the Ripple, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities through education, healthcare, and economic development. With a Nursing degree from Tallahassee State College, Courtlyn's journey into nonprofit work began with a year of administrative service in Uganda, where she forged a deep connection with the Lubwama family.
Inspired by her friends Elvic and Vicky Lubwama's dedication to their community, Courtlyn founded Start the Ripple to amplify their efforts and create lasting change. Her vision for the nonprofit is to empower individuals and communities to improve their lives through essential resources such as food, water, education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.
Although Start the Ripple was only officially established in 2024, Courtlyn's leadership has already made a significant impact. She was instrumental in establishing the first and only school in a rural village in Uganda, feeding and educating more than 120 children who previously had no access to schooling. This accomplishment stands as a testament to her commitment and drive.
Courtlyn's motivation stems from a profound belief in the fundamental human rights to food, water, healthcare, and education. Her unwavering dedication to distributing these resources fuels her passion for community development and inspires those around her.
